When Dwell Home Furnishings landed a contract to create exclusive product for a mainstream retailer, it had the power to transform the company – in positive and negative ways.
The first challenge was to unite all the company’s diverse offerings under one master brand – Dwell, Dwell Baby, Dwell Kids and Dwell Table all came together under “Dwell Studio.” The second challenge was to bring both Dwell’s devoted following of design-oriented customers and their nearly 1,500 upscale retailers along with them. The key to success was a strategy that established Dwell beyond this new relationship, followed by a tactical plan to effectively execute that strategy among both their retail customers and consumers.
